If you're a football fan unimpressed with Swiftiepalooza dominating the headlines, you may only have a couple of more weeks of it. Taylor Swift's Era's Tour is set to resume in a couple of weeks, and that includes Sunday shows that will keep her from being in a stadium suite to watch rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce at his day job.
But with the celebrity duo — Stephen Colbert calling them "Traylor Swelce" is this writer's personal favorite name — still snagging the spotlight, Week 5 will likely feature a high number of people placing bets on the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings.
Here are some Chiefs-Vikings odds and stats that bettors should know ahead of time. And no, these odds are not Swift-affiliated.

Here’s to hoping Taylor Swift shows up for Vikings vs. Chiefs! pic.twitter.com/9MCEMLlBbN
Kansas City is the -205 favorite on the money line to win Sunday's game outright. This could be attributed to the Chiefs having a 3-1 record and the Vikings a 1-3 record. It could also be because, as Fox Sports notes, Kansas City has defeated Minnesota three times out of the last five head-to-head matches.
When it comes to total combined points in the game, DK has the over/under listed at 53 points. Bettors may be tempted to bet the over since both Kansas City and Minnesota feature high-flying offenses. However, Arrowhead Addict points out that the O/U has been set at 50 points or more points three times this season between the two teams. Both teams hit the under each time.
Of course, spread betting rules the football landscape here. The Chiefs were listed Wednesday as the 4.5-point favorites at DraftKings to cover the spread against the Vikings. This means K.C. needs to win by five or more points for that bet to be a winner — a detail many bettors probably wish they knew last week.
Still can’t believe this happened…

As you may recall, a lot of people lost a lot of money in Week 4 for betting on the Chiefs to cover the spread — which they didn't do. (Decide for yourself whether Patrick Mahomes is to blame for that.) The high volume of bets is believed to be influenced by Swift being in attendance on the Sunday night showdown against the New York Jets. And now that the mayor of Minneapolis has all but extended an invitation to the songstress to attend Sunday's game — and go out on the town — bettors will probably be putting more cash down on this Week 5 showdown.
Hopefully, a better understanding of betting on the Chiefs-Vikings game will help fans win a little money back this week. Whether there is an international pop star in attendance or not.
